The Leechburg Food Bank is a partnership of the Armstrong County Community Action Agency and the congregations of the Leechburg Ministerial Association. Our mission is to provide food for low income residents of Armstrong County, as well as emergency assistance for anyone in a situation of need.
The Food Bank Board of Directors are the members of the Leechburg Ministerial. Robin and Ron Patton are the food bank supervisors. Their responsibilities include ordering, picking up, packing, & distributing all food along with overseeing volunteers.
The Leechburg Area Food Bank is guided by the rules and regulation of the Armstrong County Community Action, the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, and the bylaws of the Leechburg Area Food Bank.
Food is distributed once a month, normally on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Distribution is from 9:30-11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church at the corner of Main & Spring Streets. Evening distribution is from 6:00-6:30 PM and is only for those who work during the day or who have received one-time special permission from a Food Bank Director.
We are always looking for volunteers to help pack and carry out food to waiting vehicles. Join us!
